The Palmichael is an award winning, family run Italian restaurant conveniently located in the small town of Burton Latimer on the outskirts of Kettering. Since opening in 1981, the restaurant has established an enviable reputation for its excellent cuisine and first class service. The venue is contemporary and stylish, tastefully decorated and furnished in pastel shades to create an elegant and relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy authentic Italian food and fine wines.
The impressive menu offers freshly cooked meals expertly prepared with seasonal, premium quality produce sourced from Italy (including DOC parma ham), the UK and many local suppliers. Authentic classic dishes are imaginatively recreated and beautifully presented to your table. The lunchtime menu offers a tempting selection of appetisers, starters, main courses (pasta, chicken, fish, steak), side dishes, desserts (including irresistible homemade tiramisu) and a range of coffees. Even more delights are offered on the À La Carte menu beginning with nibbles and sharing platters (Cicchetti e Grande Piatti), Antipasti, Le Paste e Risotti (delicious pasta dishes using Italian egg pasta served with homemade sauces and parmesan cheese), Secondi Piatti (including succulent chargrilled Herefordshire beef steaks, dry-aged for 28 days), and Palmichael Classico signature dishes offer three superb steak dishes perfected over the years – Steak Diane, Filetto al Pepe, and Filletto Rossini. All meat, chicken and fish dishes are served with seasonal vegetables and potatoes of the day. Choose, if you can, from a mouth watering selection of desserts and to complete your memorable dining experience at The Palmichael there is an excellent cheeseboard. In addition the drinks list includes port and dessert wines, premium coffees and choice of liqueur coffees.
Special dietary requirements are also well catered for including gluten free (GF) and vegetarian (V). Many dishes are available across the menus and are clearly marked. Further gluten free options are available on request (GFOA). Foods containing nuts (N) are also noted. A separate vegan menu is provided with GF and V also indicated. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and advise on menu choice.
