This delightful little gem of a tea garden is to be found tucked behind a small row of traditional coastguard cottages just 50m from the coastal pathway at Hawkers Cove beach. Weather permitting, the garden is open 7 days a week from April to October to eat in or takeaway. Simply relax in peaceful surroundings and enjoy the stunning views over the small sandy beach across green hills and sand dunes to Daymer Bay and the Camel Estuary. By means of a window serving hatch, the cafe offers hot and cold drinks, homemade soups, sandwiches, baked potatoes with a selection of fillings, pasties, light lunches, delicious homemade cakes, cream teas, local ice creams and much more.
The menu also caters for those wishing to eat gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and to adapt dishes whenever possible. GF options include soups, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, a selection of mouth watering homemade cakes . An absolute must is the divine GF Cornish Cream Tea with homemade scones, jam and cream.
