Mansel’s Chippy occupies a great location close to popular Coney Beach and its famous fun fair attraction. The traditionally styled restaurant is homely and immaculately clean, perfect for families to enjoy premium quality fish and chips and much more. There is also a busy takeaway service, and a number of outside tables and chairs with umbrellas are provided during the warmer months.
Mansel’s has gained a reputation with locals and visitors alike for its superb fish and chips and friendly service. In addition to the usual favourites, the menu offers rissoles, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, sausages in batter, chicken and faggots. There is also a good selection of accompaniments (including bread rolls, gravy, curry sauce, mushy peas, pickled eggs) and for children there is the great value Kids’ Box with a choice of sausage or nuggets with chips plus a carton of drink. The drinks menu offers tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a choice of refreshing soft drinks.
Those requiring gluten free are also well catered for. A separate dedicated fryer is used to prepare gluten free fish, chips, chicken, sausages, and sausages in batter. Gluten free condiments are also available. The helpful and knowledgeable staff are always happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and advise on menu choice.
