Reopened in 2015 following a major refurbishment, the Abbey Wharf Fish Restaurant and Bar has an enviable position in the heart of the popular town of Whitby on Yorkshire’s stunning north east coast. Located over two levels, the spacious dining areas can accommodate any number of guests from a cosy table for two through to much larger gatherings. The attractive contemporary design incorporates a nautical feel with wooden flooring, painted slatted walls and a mezzanine floor with its own separate bar. During the warmer months, the large outside balcony is the perfect place to relax with a drink and enjoy the wonderful views over the bustling harbour.
The Abbey is proud to use local fresh fish and meat suppliers and sources locally grown produce whenever possible. In addition to serving superb fish and chips and a variety of delicious seafood, the menu offers an impressive choice including steaks (prepared in a charcoal oven), chicken meals, signature dishes, salads, sides and accompaniments, vegetarian options and a daily specials board. Gluten free fish and chips are also available and other meals may be adapted on request. Simply ask the friendly and helpful staff who are more than happy to advise on food preparation and ingredients.
