The Flying Pig pub and restaurant is ideally located in the bustling town of Bowness close to Lake Windermere, one of the Lake District’s most popular destinations. The quaint building has hanging baskets, lead paned windows and attractive exterior lighting with a few bistro style tables outside, a great spot to relax and watch the world go by. The recently refurbished interior has contemporary styling yet retains the cosy atmosphere of a traditional pub where families and dogs are welcome.
The menu offers tasty home cooked dishes and also caters for those wishing to eat gluten free (GF) and vegetarian (V). GF options include Starters (such as Chicken Liver Parfait or Steamed Mussels), Mains (Burgers, Sweet Cured Pork Sirloin, Pan Roast Cod Fillet, Roast Cumbrian Venison Haunch), and a selection of Sides and Desserts. Other dishes may be adapted on request. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients. To add to the meal of your choice, the well stocked bar has an excellent range of beers, wines, spirits and cask ales.
