Located in the historic market town of Romsey, The Hunters Inn has recently undergone an impressive major refurbishment. Originating from the 18th-century, the building retains country charm appeal with its red tiled roof, quaint windows and an abundance of hanging flower baskets. The spacious open-plan interior successfully blends contemporary country style, including a new bar, with traditional character features such as low beamed ceilings, large inglenook fireplace with log burner and comfortable furnishings. The rear outside space has also been transformed to provide a large attractive patio and garden area secluded by trees, the perfect spot to relax with a drink during the warmer months. A newly installed play area is great for children and dogs are welcome too.
Chris and Nicola are focused on community and the pub is fast gaining a reputation with locals and visitors alike for its excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. Experienced Head Chef Max Beale and his team provide delicious home cooked meals using only fresh quality produce sourced locally whenever possible. In addition to all your favourite dishes, a brand new pizza oven assures freshly baked pizzas with choice of toppings. The team are also passionate about catering for those with dietary requirements and a full separate gluten free menu is provided. Choose from appetising Starters, Burgers, Mains, Sides and irresistible Desserts. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and offer advice on menu choice. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available and clearly marked on the menus.
