El Murrino is an award winning Italian wood fired pizza restaurant located in the popular coastal resort town of Bournemouth. It is owned and run by two brothers, Henry and Rony El Murr, who are passionate about creating a true Italian experience through the quality and authenticity of their food to be enjoyed within the Italian inspired design of their restaurant. The interior is bright and welcoming with an eye catching tiled bar, exposed brickwork, colourful seating and a variety of pictures and murals depicting iconic Italian images. To add to the fun atmosphere is an iPad bar with vesper styled seating, very popular with children and adults alike.
The open plan kitchen allows customers to observe the chefs at work using the wood fired oven. Many ingredients are sourced directly from Italy and carry the Italian classification Denominazione di Origine Protetta (D.O.P.) which translates as “Protected Designation of Origin” and certifies quality and authenticity. Pizzas are handmade to order using slow rising dough and fired to perfection at 450°C. Choose from a fantastic selection of delicious classics or maybe try a “White Pizza” without tomato sauce. The extensive menu also offers superb pasta dishes, rissotti, side dishes, salads and irresistible desserts including the ever popular tiramisu. In addition there is an excellent drinks list to accompany the meal of your choice.
Dietary requirements are also well catered for including vegetarian and vegan. The menu provides a comprehensive Allergen Information Key including foods containing gluten. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and to advise on menu choice.
