This recently established family-run bistro style café is rapidly establishing a reputation for its Make Friends with Food ethos by creating delicious meals carefully crafted to be as nutritionally healthy as possible to both delight your palate and enhance your well-being.
The attractive café exterior houses a stylish, light and airy informal eating space with colourful contemporary furnishings and a welcoming feel. Owners Catherine and Danny are both experienced chefs while Catherine is also a qualified nutritional therapist. Together they are passionate about providing naturally nutritious food which is both exciting to eat and healthy for our bodies and lifestyle. Their innovative menus use locally sourced, fairly traded and organic ingredients wherever possible. Refined sugars are never used and those requiring vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and nut-free meals are well catered for. Coeliacs can also relax in the knowledge that the kitchen is 100% gluten free and all meals can be enjoyed without worry. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.
The menus provide breakfast, lunch and evening meals which are all freshly prepared and beautifully presented to your table. Breakfast choices include cereals, porridge, pancakes, rolls and muffins, a range of tasty cooked meals plus smoothies and choice of drinks. Light bites are also available so why not pop in for a tasty snack or morning coffee with a deliciously indulgent cake, scone or sweet treat. The lunch menu offers an inspired selection of daily specials, salads, homemade bread, hot meat and vegetable dishes and choice of desserts. Evening meals present a wonderful choice – bruschetta, starters, mains (meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian dishes) and selection of delicious desserts. In addition there is a comprehensive drinks list including juices and carefully chosen bio-dynamic and organic wines. All drinks are free of gluten and refined sugar.
