Bents began as a small family business back in 1937 and has developed into one of the leading garden centres in the area. Everything the visitor would expect to find in a contemporary thriving garden centre is here with the added attraction of an impressive choice of contemporary eateries. Symbols for gluten free and vegan options are clearly identifiable on the menus.
The Fresh Approach Restaurant provides a counter style service offering a delicious choice of hot and cold food. The good news is that many of the options are gluten free. Breakfast is cooked to order and served until 11.30 am and our freshly prepared meals include light bites such as jacket potatoes and quiche with salad, or more substantial roast dinners. A variety of appetising soups are also served with a selection of gluten free breads. A treat not to be missed are the sweet and savoury crepes freshly cooked to order. An extensive children’s menu is also available with the option to pick and mix to create that special lunch box.
Our extensive Deli Bar allows you to choose your favourite salads or select your own filling and style of sandwich using a choice of artisan or traditional bread, gluten free if required. Our homemade patisseries, scones and home bakes are served at all four service counters as well as our speciality coffees and teas. The gluten free options available allow the customer the freedom to share in the tasty delights on offer.
Caffe Nel Verde offers a quicker lunch option with the same high quality standards, this is where the afternoon tea tables are. We can produce gluten free afternoon tea upon request at time of booking.
Tapas at Bents adds another taste sensation to the Dining at Bents experience. Located next to our new wine-tasting area in our Food Hall, diners can indulge in a selection of Spanish influenced appetisers whilst exploring the fantastic world of wine and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our Open Skies Glasshouse.
Bents dedicated chefs and catering team prepare everything on the premises using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to help with any queries regarding food preparation to ensure that your visit will be a happy and memorable one.

Your four-legged friends are welcome in The Pet Place, with our groom room and pet café however, only assistance dogs are allowed in the rest of the store.
